A fire on the night of 23 December 2020 started in the ceiling and quickly spread to the interior below resulting in the closure of the café from that date. Fortunately, there were no injuries and customers were able to collect their Christmas orders which had been safely stored in the refrigerated containers in the car park external to the café.
After going through the necessary insurance process, we reopened in August 2021 with a brand new food outlet and an improved menu with the same fresh quality and variety of offerings. Many of our efficient and friendly staff who our customers knew are back and enjoying serving many familiar faces, and of course welcoming
new customers.
Many of our loyal customers have supported our other seafood takeaway (Fish n Chip Co) at Wynnum West during this unfortunate period, and we sincerely thank them for this support.
