Local groups have the chance to apply for up to $1000 each month, with Australian Country Choice (ACC) expanding its Community Steakholder Grants Program (CSGP) to support projects across the bayside and neighbouring suburbs.

After a strong response to the inaugural round in 2025, the program will now run year-round from February to November, offering simple and meaningful funding to help ideas get off the ground.

ACC Chief Executive Officer, Anthony Lee, said the first year made it clear just how much can be achieved when local volunteers have the right support behind them.

“What stood out this year was the sheer number of good ideas coming from local groups,” Mr Lee said.

“A grant can take pressure off and help them turn a great idea into something real. We want to back that.”

The program supports practical, community-driven projects that bring people together, improve shared spaces, or make everyday life a little better for local residents.

ACC Community Engagement Specialist, Carly Ogborne, said the expansion reflects what the company heard from neighbourhood groups throughout 2025.

“We saw how much impact the right funding can have when it lands in the hands of the right people,” Ms Ogborne said.

“Community groups already put in the late nights, early mornings, and weekend work. Our job is to make support easy to access and help those ideas go further.”

The CSGP is open to groups in the broader 4170 to 4174 area, as well as Wynnum and Manly. Funding can be used for a wide range of local projects, including equipment, community events, youth programs, wellbeing initiatives, and improvements to shared community spaces.
