The first of Australian Red Cross Lifeblood’s new Brisbane Pop-Up Donor Centres will open its doors to blood donors for the first time.

Lifeblood spokesperson Belinda Smetioukh said that Lifeblood is aiming to collect 10,000 blood donations at the Pop-Up Donor Centres over the next 12 months.

“We know the community are very excited to start donating blood at the new Pop-Up Donor Centres, and we’re encouraging everyone to visit lifeblood.com.au and book in their donation from today,” she said.

“We want to make donating blood as convenient as possible, and while we’re confident there are enough potential donors in these locations, we need community support to fill the appointments so that we can continue to pop-up in these locations.”

Pop-up donor centres are mobile donor centres that operate from a local venue, such as a community hall, and are set up and packed down for each visit.

To donate blood at the Pop-Ups, drop in, book an appointment at Lifeblood.com.au, call 13 14 95 or download the free Donate Blood app.
