FROM THE WATERLOO BAY LEISURE CENTRE
If you’re keen to do Christmas shopping in a relaxed environment, mark Saturday, December 7, on your calendar for Waterloo Bay Leisure Centre’s Christmas Market.
There will be over 70 stalls inside the Waterloo Bay Leisure Centre and in the grounds surrounding the historic Shire Clerk’s Cottage. Most stalls sell goods made with love – handmade items that make excellent Christmas gifts for your loved ones, school teachers, workmates and anyone else important to you.
Along with unique crafts, you can pick up some home-baked goods and various treasures you won’t find anywhere else.
Our Boomerang Bag ladies will be serving Devonshire Teas on the verandah of the historic cottage, so take a stroll and marvel at the history before indulging in a scrumptious scone. The scones are baked onsite on the morning of the market, so they’re guaranteed fresh!
All proceeds from this market go towards maintaining the cottage. The front stairs were recently replaced, and the cottage needs to be repainted inside and out. Anyone with a timber home will be quite aware of the cost of this, so your support of the market is most welcome.
