While technology has transformed how most kids spend their free time, one timeless activity continues to spark joy and creativity – craft. There’s something magical about how children can take the simplest materials – crayons, glue, and paper – and turn them into unique works of art worthy of display on any fridge!

Redlands kids have the perfect opportunity this school holidays to get hands-on and flex their creativity at free craft sessions at Redlands Coast Museum (formerly Redland Museum). With Easter-themed craft activities, little artists can design and decorate colourful peg eggs and adorable bunny masks. When the kids have completed their masterpieces, take a trip through time and browse the museum’s displays. Find out more on page 6.

Over the last 50 years, the museum’s caretakers have assembled a fascinating time capsule of historical items and memories that keep our ancestors’ stories alive for future generations to understand and enjoy. Perspective – and appreciating change, for better or worse – is wonderful, which is why museums are so important. Take the opportunity to explore the museum’s exhibits and celebrate the history of the Redlands and beyond. Bring the family and make a day of it!
