Bayside Brass is inviting percussion players to join an exciting eight-week opportunity to participate in the National Band Championships, to be held at Brisbane City Hall over the Easter long weekend in April 2026.
This is a rare opportunity to perform on one of Australia’s most prestigious band stages, in a venue renowned for its acoustics, grandeur, and history.
Bayside Brass is attending its first National Band Championships since 2014, and the band is looking for energetic, music-reading percussion players to complement an already committed brass line-up. We are keen to welcome players who want both a musical challenge and a memorable championship experience.
Whether your strengths lie in tuned percussion, mallets, timpani, auxiliary, or kit, Bayside Brass offers an engaging repertoire and a supportive rehearsal environment. The focus is on teamwork, musical excellence, and enjoying the journey as much as the performance itself.
The National Championships are more than a contest – they’re a celebration of banding, camaraderie, and shared passion. Performing in Brisbane City Hall, surrounded by the buzz of Easter festivities and the nation’s best bands, makes this event truly special.
