With much sadness, we inform our local community that Manson Framers will close after nearly 60 years of trading, with the final day of trade on 30 September 2023.
A much-loved go-to for framing in the Wynnum Manly community since 1964, the closure of the Ronald Street Wynnum store marks the end of an era after almost 60 years of trade.
Cameron and Sharon are the last remaining members of the family business, and closing the doors has been tough. Due to increasing costs from suppliers and further rises in the costs of operating the business, along with a downturn in trading, Cameron and Sharon have decided to close.
Custom framing orders will be taken until mid-August 2023, and all orders must be paid and collected by 30 September 2023.
We hope our customers will want to have their items framed before we close – think of it as Christmas in July; the sooner, the better!
Unfortunately, the picture framing service will not continue at this stage, and Cameron will make a decision at a later date. Sharon will continue with the popular retail art supplies business from a different location in Wynnum, which will be advised in the near future. Please continue supporting your local art shop, offering email and phone orders and local delivery.
Sadly, the DMC needlework threads and supplies will not continue; a reduced-to-clear sale for threads will start soon.
If you need threads, you can still order them, but they will be at normal price points, and box quantity only, and all orders must be in by mid-June 2023.
The photo restoration business provided by Krissy will continue from her home studio in Wynnum West as Art By Krissy Clark.
