The complexity of planning a wedding sometimes leaves the happy couple celebrating their nuptials in a fog of near-exhaustion. Romana Saeheng has simplified the whole process with the creation of the Redlands Coast Wedding Trail, a one-day tour of options for everything wedding. That includes a lot.
“There’s the ceremony location and the reception location – sometimes they’re the same, sometimes separate – there’s the celebrant, the photographer, videography, flowers, cake makers, transport, decorations, catering, wedding gowns and suits. For the Wedding Trail showcase day, we have stylists go in and decorate the venues so that visitors can see what it would look like for a real wedding,” she says.
“There are also bespoke arrangements available for weddings at home or on a property, things like a mobile ‘combi’ bar and a portable photo booth. Or for a cocktail party on the lawn, you can have cute little bicycle-type gelato serveries. The Redlands has wonderful places – a winery, nurseries, beaches, rainforests, the oldest licensed pub in Queensland – everything from full formal to barefoot on the beach.”
Romana, a professional small wedding planner and photographer, is used to the multi-layered planning necessary and feels quite at home with it.
“It’s a chance for the entire local industry to showcase what’s available and for us to demonstrate what a wonderful place the Redlands is for that very special day.”
The 2026 Wedding Trail will take place on February 22.
