The Wynnum Redlands Budgerigar Society (WRBS) has been a cornerstone for budgerigar breeders and enthusiasts within South-East Queensland for over 80 years. We invite anyone with a passion or interest in budgerigars to join our friendly community club based in the Redlands.
We currently have members from all areas of South-East Queensland, including Ipswich, Redlands, Logan and Brisbane.
With monthly events and newsletters, we offer guidance and support for all, from enthusiasts with pet budgies to national show breeders.
Our friendly and experienced National Show breeders can support your transition from pet hobby to showing budgerigars if desired, as well as all aspects of avicultural husbandry, with a fully qualified vet being one of our members.
We have regular workshops covering topics such as owning and caring for your pet budgie and assisting with all aspects of housing/aviculture and breeding budgerigars.
We can also give advice if required on efficient housing of your budgerigars with the available space you have, with many suitable options available.
Social events such as aviary visits, which include BBQs, are a fundamental part of our club, which supports and encourages a family-friendly environment catering to all ages.
The WRBS also supports and is an active member of State and National advisory bodies. WRBS is offering one year’s free membership for all new members and an opportunity to go into the draw to win a pair of budgerigars.
