Last month, after almost 25 years in Manly Harbour Village, Julieann Star closed the doors of her iconic homewares and gift store, Ebb & Flow.
Julieann’s business journey began in 2000 as a photographic studio, which later evolved into the stylish homewares and gift store that became a favourite destination for anyone seeking beautifully curated pieces and exceptional customer service.
Since opening the doors to the Cambridge Parade location in 2002, and the photographic studio combining with the retail store in 2011, Ebb & Flow became a must-visit shop in the Manly Harbour Village shopping precinct. Inspired by a nautical, coastal and island lifestyle, the store offered a carefully selected collection of homewares, gifts and décor that reflected Julieann’s distinctive eye for design.
Beyond her business, Julieann also gave back to the local community, serving on the Executive Committee of the Manly Chamber of Commerce for five years.
“Wynnum Manly has a unique village ambience, and it will always be a popular escape for Brisbane visitors,” she said.
Julieann leaves behind a lasting legacy in the village, and her contribution to the local business community will be fondly remembered. We wish her every success in her next chapter.
