A packed to the rafters, sold out performance by The Australian Eagles Show has supercharged the growing momentum of the Little Ship Club’s Bands on the Bay series, cementing the Dunwich waterfront as one of Straddie’s most exciting live music destinations.
Around 650 music lovers made their way to North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah) in June, with many travelling from across the region to enjoy iconic hits, waterfront hospitality and those unbeatable Moreton Bay sunsets that make the club’s grounds such a standout venue.
Little Ship Club Commodore Charles Ainsworth said the overwhelming response confirms the club’s vision for bringing high quality entertainment to the island.
“We’ve always believed we have one of the best waterfront venues on Straddie,” Mr Ainsworth said. “The reaction to The Australian Eagles Show was incredible. It shows there’s real appetite for top tier live music in a setting you simply can’t find anywhere else. Bands on the Bay is all about creating unforgettable nights – great music, great food and the kind of sunsets people talk about long after they’ve gone home.”
The Bands on the Bay program focuses on bringing well known tribute acts and crowd favourite performers to the club’s waterfront lawns, giving locals and visitors new reasons to experience Straddie throughout the year.
The series also complements the club’s hugely popular Seafood Spectacular, now one of the island’s signature annual events, drawing around 550 guests for fresh local seafood, live entertainment and a relaxed bayside atmosphere.
“We’re building experiences that encourage people to visit Straddie, spend time with family and friends, and enjoy everything this beautiful part of the world has to offer,” Mr Ainsworth said.
