Something wickedly wonderful is brewing on Brisbane’s bayside, with the Wynnum Ampol Halloween Festival and Parade returning on Saturday, 31 October 2026, and this year, the celebrations have a new home at George Clayton Park on the Wynnum-Manly foreshore.
Running from 12 noon until 8:30pm, the free community festival promises a full day of frightful fun for little monsters, grown-up ghouls and everyone in between. Families can expect live entertainment, thrilling rides, market stalls, food trucks and plenty of opportunities to show off their most creative costumes. As daylight fades, the much-loved Halloween Parade will set off at 6:00pm, before the night finishes with a spectacular fireworks display.
The move to George Clayton Park gives the festival room to spread its bat wings. Known to locals as ‘The Lighthouse Park’, the foreshore venue offers sweeping Moreton Bay views, open lawns, picnic facilities and a fully fenced nautical-themed playground, an ideal setting for families to settle in and enjoy the celebrations from afternoon into evening.
The Wynnum parade first crept onto Bay Terrace in 2022, reviving a treasured bayside Halloween tradition. Since then, it has grown into a colourful showcase of local creativity and community spirit. Footage from the 2024 event captures packed streets, marching bands, illuminated vehicles, local businesses welcoming trick-or-treaters and costumes ranging from classic witches and zombies to elaborate family ensembles.
Whether you join the parade, volunteer behind the scenes, browse the stalls or bring a picnic rug and watch the spectacle unfold, this is one Halloween celebration you will not want to ghost.
The 2026 festival is proudly presented by Ampol, the event’s naming sponsor, with support from Brisbane City Council and Port of Brisbane. Bendigo Bank and Ocean Realty are also proud sponsors of the festival, helping bring this community celebration to life.
